The Adventure Travel Show 2013

Visit the UK's only event dedicated to adventure travel

January is the time of year that everyone ramps up their plans for their gap year. With that in mind, the Telegraph Adventure Travel Show is just around the corner. It's completely dedicated to adventure and travelling, and is a great opportunity to get some unique ideas for your gap year.

The Telegraph Adventure Travel Show opens at 10am on Saturday 26th and runs until 5pm on Sunday 27th at the Olympia Exhibition Centre in London.

The show brings together an outstanding line-up of travel experts and celebrities, including adventurer Ben Fogle, Olympic hero James Cracknell, mountaineering legend Doug Scott, and Graham Hughes, that man who's recently travelled to every single country in the world, as well as a whole host of other people.

Along with the various talks there are also photography and travel-writing seminars, with tuition from professionals like photographer Paul Harris and various full-time travel writers including Wanderlust magazine founder & editor-in-chief Lyn Hughes.

There's also going to be a talk from our very own Macca Sherifi. He's going into some of the things you can get up to on your gap year. He said: "The Telegraph Adventure Travel Show is a great opportunity to see some of the things you can do on your travels and it's got everything from backpacking to volunteering.

"On Sunday 27th I'm going to talk about adventures you can have while backpacking. You'll soon discover that every day is an adventure."
