Superman spotted flying in California

It's a bird... it's a plane... it's Superman! Wait a minute... it really is a plane

A life-sized, remote-controlled Superman has been getting people's heads in a spin after being spotted "flying" over the Pacific Coast Highway in California.

Kyle Gough was cycling with a friend in Carlsbad when he saw the caped crusader whiz passed. He quickly reached for his phone and began filming, and the resulting footage is now going viral on YouTube with almost 350,000 views.

Kyle shared the video on Live Leak and said: "I was cycling with my buddy down PCH (Pacific Coast Highway) and during our casual conversation... Superman flew by. We stopped, got off our bikes just in time to watch him land.

"After a quick battery change, I grabbed the only thing I had on me and took some video of what is easily the coolest custom RC plane I've ever seen. Damn near life-size and complete with a cape."

YouTube member Unlost commented after analysing the clip, saying: "He doesn't have his arms forward so I think this is a fake!" and DaCoolidge said: "Still better than Superman 4."

There's no doubt about it, it is pretty cool...
