Trans Africa Expedition

Travelling overland by truck from Gibraltar to Cape Town, Nairobi and Cairo, Oasis Overland's Trans Africa is a true overland expedition. Join us for an epic 21, 29 or 39 week trip!

Trans Africa Expedition route map

You must expect to dig the truck out of mud and sand mat in the Sahara and still be ready to participate in day-to-day activities such as shopping, cooking and gathering fire wood. You will experience extremes of climate from the heat of the desert, to torrential downpours in the jungles. We will often be isolated and away from doctors and telephones and at times food and water supplies will be limited.

But it’s all worth it!

On this expedition you can discover a continent most travellers only dream of and meet people you may never otherwise encounter.

Please note that because of the unpredictable nature of this expedition it is not always possible to follow exactly the itinerary below. For up-to-date information please contact us.
