Day 1 Playa del Carmen

Arrive at any time.

Day 2 Playa del Carmen

Head out to explore the Mayan ruins of Tulúm or the diving mecca of Cozumel. Or play in the waves and enjoy the beach!

Day 3-5 Caye Caulker

Opt to snorkel with stingrays and nurse sharks at Hol Chan Marine Reserve, go diving or just chill out.

Day 6-7 San Ignacio

Free day to visit sacred Mayan cave Actun Tunichil Muknal, explore the Mountain Pine Ridge area or see the seldom-visited Mayan ruins of Xunantunich.

Day 8-10 Flores/Tikal/Rio Dulce

Learn about the Mayan culture and history on an included guided tour of Tikal before travelling to central Guatemala. Opt to visit the coastal town of Livingston by boat or soak in a hot waterfall.

Day 11-12 Antigua

Orientation walk along Antigua's cobblestone streets, then free time to explore Antigua and its surroundings. Get a massage and be sure to sample the locally grown coffee.

Day 13-14 Panajachel/Lake Atitlán homestay

Travel to beautiful Lake Atitlán and enjoy the views. Embark on a boat ride across the lake before participating in a Planeterra-supported homestay with a local family. Bargain for handmade souvenirs at the lake's many villages.

Day 15-16 Antigua

Enjoy an included group salsa dancing lesson and practice some fancy footwork out during a final night out in Guatemala.

Day 17-18 Copán

Opt to visit the Mayan ruins of Copán or soak in local hot springs.

Day 19-21 Roatan

Spend free time snorkelling, scuba diving or just relaxing on the beach.

Day 22 León

Skip a long bus ride and fly in style to Tegucigalpa, then continue overland to politically progressive León, Nicaragua.

Day 23-24 Granada

Orientation walk to explore colonial Granada. Opt to visit still-active Masaya Volcano or kayak the isletas in Lake Nicaragua.

Day 25-26 Ometepe

Get to know local friends during a 2-night Planeterra-supported homestay experience on Ometepe. Try the cuisine, test out some language skills and even opt to climb a volcano or visit the local swimming hole.

Day 27-28 Monteverde

Opt to visit a cloud forest reserve, fly through the jungle canopy via zipline or tour a coffee plantation.

Day 29-30 La Fortuna

Enjoy the beautiful scenery on a relaxing boat ride across Lake Arenal. Opt to soak in Arenal Volcano's hot springs or get the adrenaline pumping with whitewater rafting or waterfall rappelling.

Day 31 San José

Travel to Costa Rica's capital for one final night on the town with the group.

Day 32 San José

Depart at any time.
