Around the World in 80 Pics
Starting with the Big Apple this is the ultimate photographers gap year, whether you're using your smartphone, a point-and-shoot, your Dad's old film camera or even the latest DSLR there's guaranteed to be something you'll want to take a picture of in this most modern and photogenic of cities.
From the chaos of Times Square, through to the hipster warehouses of East Williamsburg in Brooklyn, you won't be short of inspiration.
From there, hop over to Los Angeles and snap yourself some photos of celebs and their hangouts. Get on a bus around Beverley Hills or head downtown to take some more grungy urban photos. LA has been home to some amazing photos over the years and yours could be next, you never know!
As if that wasn't enough, we've also left room for you to make your way overland between Los Angeles and Las Vegas. You could roadtrip it and take pictures of one of the most beautiful corners of the US. Drive the Pacific Highway and shoot surfers in their element, or desert landscapes complete with salt pans and heat waves in Death Valley. Then Las Vegas and really the neon lights are begging to be photographed while you see all that Sin City has to offer.
From there, long haul it all the way down to Rio de Janeiro and start your South American photo-journey. Climb up to Christ the Reedemer and beyond to snap shots on high of this amazing city before making your way down to Buenos Aires and the beautiful capital city of Argentina.
As if Buenos Aires wasn't enough, we've included a little trip down to Ushuaia, the southernmost city in the world, where you can get out into the wilds of Patagonia and photograph the Torres del Paine or the Perito Moreno glacier to really put some perspective on things and practice those big landscape shots.
One final stretch in South America, overland, up to Santiago, where you'll explore this vibrant capital city, before flying over to New Zealand. Make your own way overland (we recommend it, seriously!) from Auckland to Christchurch to soak up and snap the beauty of New Zealand, everything from vast national parks, snow covered mountains, huge lakes and even some amazing beaches. Maybe you'll spot some seals or a whale or two and try your hand at wildlife photography!
On to the big one - Australia. Explore this enormous country using Sydney as your base. Make your way up the East Coast snapping the Sydney Opera House and Harbour Bridge, the lakes and beaches of Fraser Island and the pure white silicon sand and stunning beauty of the Whitsunday Islands. That's without even touching on the outback, the Great Barrier Reef or the Northern Territory. All of which are begging to be photographed - underwater, on horseback or even on a 4x4 trip into Kakadu National Park.
One final stop (as if that wasn't all enough) - Thailand and South East Asia. Fly into Bangkok and start snapping the pure chaos that it is. Street stalls, the world's largest market, giant Buddhas and so much more! From there explore everywhere in South East Asia from the Thai Islands to Ha Long Bay in the north of Vietnam, both of which are more photogenic then you can possibly imagine!
After all that, fly home and catch up with the people you've made sickeningly jealous with all your photos. Go on, get snapping by calling our experts on 0333 333 9923.
