Volunteer Teaching in Uganda
Join a team of volunteers to teach for 6-12 weeks in primary schools in rural Uganda. Volunteers get the chance to teach, lead extra-curricular activities and present HIV outreach talks to older students across the community.
Volunteers live at VU's purpose built lodge equipped with shared dorms, western shower and toilet facilities, wifi, pool table, living area, dining area, inside and outside bar, volleyball net, camp fire and garden area.
At weekends, volunteers have the opportunity to go white water rafting down the River Nile, Bungee jump over the Nile, go on a safari, see chimps, go gorilla trekking and have fun at Lake Bunyonyi, among other short community based activities and trips.
As a whole experience, what VU offers really is a 'Gap Year condensed'. Take part in unforgettable, worthwhile volunteering whilst exploring a new and exciting country and at the same time, meeting new friends and having the time of your life.
