Study at University in Rome, Italy
In addition to offering study abroad and degree opportunities, John Cabot University welcomes a select group of gap year students into our international campus community in the heart of Rome each year. Gap year students can study at JCU for a summer, semester, or a year, and are fully integrated into our dynamic student body.
Students have the chance to take university classes of their choice that they can ultimately transfer to another four-year institution, make friends from across the world through our student organizations and athletics program, and explore Italy and Europe on weekends. John Cabot University's average class size of 15 is the perfect environment for recent high school graduates to acclimate to a university environment, and our dedicated professors, staff, and tutoring labs ensure that students are academically successful during their time at JCU.
A gap year at John Cabot University provides recent high school graduates with the chance to explore their interests and embark on a year of adventure while adjusting to university life in one of the world's most fascinating cities. JCU's American accrediation ensures that our credits transfer seamlessly to other institutions, and our advising and mentorship services help students gain the most out of their time abroad while developing the confidence, independence, and flexibility that only an experience abroad can provide.
