  • Volunteer Projects You Can Choose From:

  • Street Children: The second largest country in the world in terms of population is also the largest country in the world in terms of the number of street children. To most of these children, the street is both their home and the place they earn their livelihoods from.  The number of street children in Dharamshala is considerable with a community of around 1000 tent dwellers located at the edge of the town. Try you best to make learning fun for the young ones and try and help shape their minds to be inquisitive and ones that are filled with insatiable thirst for knowledge throughout their lifetime. iSpiice child care Volunteers work alongside local staff in the village day care centers.

  • Education Volunteer: Education volunteers play an important role in raising awareness about the need for regular schooling and offer much needed support to local teachers. iSpiice work in partnership with local primary and secondary schools and volunteers can work alongside the local teacher or deliver their own lessons daily.  The most commonly requested subject of teaching is English and we encourage volunteers to create their own lesson plans with teaching materials available for this purpose. You may also bring your own teaching materials such as reading and picture books and teaching flash cards. For teaching English it is not necessary for volunteers to have past experience and in-depth knowledge of grammar and vocabulary and for the children to have the chance working with fluent English speakers is invaluable on its own. For those with a professional interest in teaching this is a fantastic opportunity to broaden your skills in a new and very different environment. Working with the children daily you will bring about a sense of professionalism and dedication and this is extremely valuable for children’s confidence and also for your learning of the local culture.

  • Child Care and Volunteer: The early years in a child’s life are the most important ones that determine how he or she will feel as they grow up. Children who are showered with love, attention and care are likely to grow up in a healthy happy state of mind. This is your chance to be a part of the brighter smiles for better future program for the children of Dharamshala.

  •  Volunteer for Women Empowerment
The state of the rural women in all of Asia is simply deplorable. They are among the most disadvantaged of people in the world in terms of social rights, health and hygiene and decision making rights. The best way to alleviate the status of women in the rural areas is to educate her and allow her to believe in her own ability and value her own self.
Once that happens, once she is able to see herself as worthy part of society and able contributor to her family, she will realize her self-worth it will lead to eradication of gender equalities in rural societies for women.
