The Durban Green Corridor volunteer programme is located in the vibrant “surf” City of Durban, South Africa.

Durban Green Corridor is a well established non profit organisation that works in youth development, using tourism and adventure sports as a platform. Plunging into a new culture and experience a different way to see the world is one of the key learning aspects of our volunteer program. Living in a new and non-familiar environment and working in a Zulu community is a very unique experience. Durban Green Corridor aims to engage young people from various countries in our community development programs around Durban. It is a highly beneficial learning experience for both the volunteers and the community. You as a volunteer will learn a lot about yourself and it gives you the chance to develop cross-cultural communication skills. Further, by sharing your skills and contributing to community based projects, locals get the chance to expand their knowledge and learn from you. The Sports and Community Development Programme in eNanda
Durban Green Corridor is very proud of the Mountain Bike Youth Programme that has been established at the eNanda Adventure Park at Inanda Dam. At least 4 days per week, a regular group of children meet to grab a bike and get out on the surrounding trails to enjoy the rush of the sport but also the beauty of the natural surroundings. The BMX training on the recently established pumptrack is carried out 7 days a week. DGC also assist in coaching school children in different sports games 5 days a week.

As a volunteer you will support the sports development program for local school children in eNanda, a Project site of Durban Green Corridor. You will be engaged in youth empowering and sport projects. Your tasks will include:

  • Assist the sport coaches
  • Event organization
  • Assist in the Bike Program
  • Help with site administration and at Durban Green Corridor Events
