Volunteer Building Projects

Volunteering on a building project is a great choice for anyone willing to participate on hands-on work in developing areas - whether you're on a gap year, taking a career break or just wish to volunteer during your holiday!

Our building projects all run year-round, providing homes, schools and renovation works to communities where they are most needed. You don't need to have experience in order to participate as all projects are supervised and managed by local professionals, although you will need to be physically fit as the work is labour-intensive. Depending on the nature of the work being carried out at the time of your placement, you may find yourself mixing cement, digging foundations, plastering or painting.

We have building projects in a number of destinations contributing to all types of sustainable, long-term projects. Whether you want to experience rural life in Ghana or a big city in South Africa, there are plenty of options to choose from.
