Your Gap Year - Culinary Adventure
Previous students have raved about the experience of being on this course and of being in Dublin. The course itself is challenging but relaxed. They have been astonished at the level that can be reached in such a short time. Doors are immediately opened for such a marketable skill and students have moved on to ski chalets, beachside cafes, luxury yachts as well as restaurants in far-flung places. This is a great skill to have going through college feeding yourself, entertaining friends and always with the option of earning money. Enjoy cooking for the rest of your life.
What makes us special? We are an award-winning, well-established cookery school. With a maximum of 24 students, we are able to help you learn, regardless of the level at which you arrive. Our tutors are upbeat and dedicated to boosting your confidence. The whole group bonds together through trips out (foraging, artisan producers, craft brewing) or facing the monthly challenge of running a pop-up restaurant evening. We are happy to organise accommodation or take any steps that will help you settle in. Dublin is an exciting city in which to spend time and whatever your interests or passions, you will find outlets here. Transport within the city is easy and efficient and the airport (just half an hour from our door) gives you unrivalled access to anywhere in the UK and beyond and makes it easy for your friends to come and visit.
Don't let your gap year slip by - learn a lifelong skill, have a great time and open yourself to the job market.
Like the look of the course but don't have 3 months to spare? Why not get in touch and ask about our 1 Month Certificate Cookery Course?
“I finished the 3 Month course over a week ago and I am still sad that it's over. I had one of the best experiences of my life over the past 3 months. Firstly, the depth of knowledge and skill the tutors have is outstanding, and the fun and helpful manner in which they teach being even more impressive. I enjoyed every single day in DCS but some of the highlights would be the buzz of the pop-up nights, our trip to Dungarvan (oyster farm and gin distillery included,) my 'stage' placement in Forest Avenue (working with and learning from one of the best chefs in the country, John Wyer,) and the wide variety of cuisines we learned from our tutors (Korean, French, Mexican, Italian, Thai, Moroccan and pizza!) I now feel ready to pursue my passion for food with the confidence and knowledge I have gained in DCS. And to top it off, I made friends for life and memories I will never forget. Lynda has built a fantastic school and team around her and I can't recommend it highly enough.”
