Combine learning about elephants, bamboo rafting and travelling through stunning rural villages with driving your very own Tuk Tuk - can a day trip in Chiang Mai get any better?
Spend an awesome day on Chiang Mai’s greatest 1 day adventure with The Tuk Tuk Club.
Starting with a pick up from your guest house / hotel we’ll whizz you to the beautiful Mae Wang valley where the first job is to train you how to drive a Tuk Tuk. This all takes place off road and is lead by our very experience trainers who will get you up to speed in no time at all.
Next it’s time to venture out along tiny winding rural roads, exploring small farming villages and then ending up at a remote hillside Temple where you’ll learn a little about the lives of the monks and also walk up to a great viewpoint.
Then we’re back into the Tuk Tuks and through more villages as we make our way to a small but very forward thinking elephant home. After a hearty lunch it’s time to learn about the elephants at the home and walk with them through the countryside to their favourite bathing spot in the local river where you’re invited to get in and help their mahouts give them a ‘bath’.
Once the elephants are cool and clean it’s time for us to float gently downstream on bamboo rafts seeing the local area from a very different perspective before jumping into the Tuk Tuks once final time for the drive back to base from where we then head back to Chiang Mai city in minivans.
A full on but fantastic day’s adventure

A few months of navel gazing (some call it planning but....) later it turns out it is possible and in fact it’s hugely ... See all products from The Tuk Tuk Club >
