The Angkor Wat temples are so incredible that Cambodia put them on their national flag. Stare into the eyes of serene stone faces, leap over roots that have burst through ruins, and watch the sunrise ...

On this trip, we show you there’s more to Cambodia than the temples. Discover the laid-back beaches of Sihanoukville, learn about the country’s difficult history at the S-21 Prison, and taste some surprisingly tasty tarantulas. Go beyond the temples and discover the culture, cuisine, and curiosities of Cambodia.

DAY 1 | PHNOM PENH
Meet with your fantastic Busabout guide and fellow
passengers, and then head out for a delicious optional
traditional dinner. Deep-fried tarantulas anyone?
Afterwards the night is yours to enjoy. Head back to the
hotel, explore along the riverfront or join us at a few of
our favourite bars.
DAY 2 | PHNOM PENH
Spend the day exploring this dynamic city. There’s
plenty to see and do but for those looking to glimpse
into the darker history of Cambodia we offer an optional
excursion to visit the infamous S-21 Prison and Killing
Fields. We meet this evening for a refreshing riverside
cocktail as we watch the sunset over the city. (B)
DAY 3 | PHNOM PENH – KAMPOT
Today we head to the idyllic town of Kampot, with a stop
en route in Kep on the coast to enjoy its seafood markets
and famous crab. We arrive in Kampot shortly after, and
you have the afternoon to relax or explore. This evening
we have an optional sunset cruise on the river. (B)
DAY 4 | KAMPOT – KOH RONG SAMLOEM – SIHANOUKVILLE
Today we make our way to Sihanoukville via Koh
Rong Samloem. We take an included boat trip to the
island, relax on the white-sand beaches, and go for a
refreshing swim. Later we head back to the mainland
and have an optional beachside BBQ dinner before
getting lost in Sihanoukville’s vibrant nightlife. (B,L)
DAY 5 | SIHANOUKVILLE
Explore this coastal resort paradise in depth or head
out to the beach for a day of frolicking in the sea or
swinging in a hammock with a coconut. Tonight we
head out for another epic night. (B)
DAY 6 | SIHANOUKVILLE – BATTAMBANG
This morning we head to Battambang. We have two
stops en route beginning with a visit to a roadside shrine
to receive Buddhist blessings. After lunch we stop at
Tonle Sap Lake to see the floating villages. Tonight we
visit a student-run restaurant for an included dinner. (B,D)
DAY 7 | BATTAMBANG – SIEM REAP
This morning we have an included bike tour through the
Cambodian countryside where we will visit several local
homes, learn about the livelihoods of the local community,
and enjoy the relaxing pace of village life. We then
continue our journey to the ever-popular gateway of the
Angkor region, Siem Reap. (B)
DAY 8 | SIEM REAP
See the sunrise over the world’s largest religious
monument at Angkor Wat then head off to visit Bayon
temple. See the “Tomb Raider” Temple and Terrace of
the Elephants all from the comfort of an air-conditioned
vehicle with an expert local guide. Tonight we will
