Namaste! Welcome to Nepal. Please meet at our Kathmandu office listed in the trip notes the day prior to departure at 5.00PM for a pre-departure meeting. If you arrive after 17:00 on the day prior to departure, please contact us for a briefing on: +977 9801123617 We leave Kathmandu at 7am**, travelling by bus to Chitwan National Park (approx 5 hours) where you will be met and transferred to your accommodation. Of all the world's remaining jungles, this is one of the most enchanting. Discover a lost world of towering trees and twisting vines, of pre-historic rhinos and lumbering elephants, of crocodiles, pythons and deer, of brilliantly coloured birds and - if you are fortunate - the superb royal Bengal tiger. We stay in the small village of Sauraha, on the edge of the park by the banks of the river Rapti. Boat along the Rapti River on the park's boundary, which shelters about a quarter of the world's remaining gharial population. This fish-eating crocodile has long been hunted for the supposed aphrodisiac qualities of its snout. Enjoy a guided jeep safari to twenty thousand lake and a guided bird watching experience. Use traditional ox-cart transportation to tour around a local village. Cap the experience off with a night performance - a traditional stick dance performed by the local Tharu people. **Please note that if you are travelling during the month of February 2018 your bus will be leaving at 6am. Due to ongoing construction on the Narayangarh - Mugling road, this section will be closed daily from 10am - 4pm.
Board the bus back to Kathmandu (approx 5 hrs) where your adventure concludes. There is no accommodation included tonight. If you would like to stay for longer, please enquire with your booking agent.
