Volunteer at an African Wildlife Orphanage in Zimbabwe to care for wild animals that have been injured, abandoned or orphaned. The five aspects of the wildlife orphanage are: wildlife orphanage and rehabilitation, education, nature conservation, research and cooperation. Many of the animals at the orphanage have been rescued from illegal trafficking, or were kept as pets so some of them are unable to return to the wild. As a volunteer on this project, you will be caring for these orphaned animals, helping to rehabilitate the ones who can be released and educating local school children about these animals.
Some of your volunteer tasks may include:
- Preparing food and feeding the animals
- Maintaining enclosures
- Creating enrichment activities
- Educating local school children
