Volunteer in South Africa at a wildlife ranch that is home to over 90 species of animals, including various endangered animals. This ranch focuses on the conservation of endangered species and also works to spread awareness for wildlife conservation by visiting local schools and educating the children.
As a volunteer at this project you will be working to care for the animals at the ranch. You will also be attending the staff on their trips to local schools to educate children about these endangered animals. This project also has an pre-vet internship option available. Interns will be able to take part in any veterinary procedures that may take place.
Some of your volunteering tasks may include:
- Preparing food for the animals
- Educating the public about wildlife conservation
- Create enrichment toys for the animals
- Maintaining the ranch
- Collecting data on animals’ progress
