If you’re passionate about protecting our planet and looking to do some travelling with a purpose, then look no further than beautiful New Zealand.
New Zealand offers one of the world’s most unique locations for biodiversity. This is a valuable conservation project that aims to preserve the environment and combat problems such as coastal erosion, invasive foreign species and problems with drought effects and pollution.
You can work in urban, rural and more remote locations. Jobs include taking wildlife surveys, constructing walking trails, controlling weeds, collecting seeds and restoring habitat and heritage.
There are three cities to chose from that act as gateways to project locations. These are either Auckland or Wellington on the North Island, or Christchurch on the South Island. Join passionate and inspiring locals on their quest to restore New Zealand to it’s environmental glory.
There is a range of between 6- 10 other volunteers who work under the guidance of a conservation manager. Work a 5 day week on a project with the weekends free to explore the local area.
New Zealand is home to glorious beaches and bushland, stunning mountains, breath-taking Fiordland, and of course Maori and Polynesian culture and history.
