You will play a supportive role in the ongoing conservation research programme taking part at this centre in the Peruvian rainforest. Work alongside exerperienced professionals and the local community to protect the species and biodiversity of the UNESCO World Heritage Site. Connect with local communities, explore breathtaking biodiversity and take part in challenging physical activities.
It is hoped that volunteers come away with a full understanding of the goals of the project and how they contribute towards achieving them. You will be providing essential resources for the projects survival; time and money, which will be ploughed back into the project. You will be a much needed pair of hands and your role will vary depending on the needs of the project at the time. You can expect to be involved in things like pit falling, mammal transects, bio-gardens, agroforestry, camera traps, plant seedlings, calculating carbon values and more.
After a few days orientation in Cuscom volunteers will be transported to the project location and find themselves immersed in the tranquil forest atmosphere. With social eating areas and chill out spaces, you will find evenings enjoyable and don’t forget your camera to capture the variety of wildlife right on your doorstep.
Project fees apply, but include accommodation, food and transport, as well as support and training. If you are interested in joining the project but would like to know more, please visit our website or email us an enquiry for obligation-free advice.
