Coaching cricket abroad on your gap year is an excellent choice for those with a keen interest in cricket and coaching. Travel to sensational places such as India, New Zealand and South Africa and boost your work experience with one of many programs available to students and young adults. Cricket coaching volunteers will be responsible for their own team of budding, young superstars who unfortunately do not get the chance to practice on a regular basis due to a lack of funding for equipment and adequate training grounds.
Volunteers don’t usually need any coaching experience, just a willingness to get ‘stuck-in’ and a ‘can-do’ attitude. However you should be confident in your own sporting ability and want to share your love of cricket. Some placements give participants the option not only to teach cricket but to also run entire cricket programs, organise events and even play in professional teams themselves (if they’re good enough!).
Countries that run cricket coaching programs usually take cricket very seriously and think very highly of the sport. If you think you have what it takes to teach cricket check out our product listings.
