Trusted by thousands of international volunteers, this project has been a large moving force in the conservation of the turtles in Bal. The turtles nest all year round, so volunteers get an opportunity to participate in a range of activities such as identifying turtle species, collecting eggs, monitoring nests or seeing hatchlings get safely to sea.
Volunteers must be prepared for a more basic standard of living on the island, with fewer shops and attractions available. Please note, volunteers on the Turtle Conservation project must participate on the project for a minimum of two weeks.
